Getting Started
What is 2XKO?
2XKO is a free-to-play 2v2 tag-team fighting game developed by Riot Games, set in the League of Legends universe. Players control two champions and can switch between them or call assists during combat.
Is 2XKO free to play?
Yes, 2XKO is completely free to play. The game uses a cosmetic-only monetization model where you can purchase skins, emotes, and other cosmetic items.
What platforms is 2XKO available on?
Currently 2XKO is available on PC. Console versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are planned for January 2026.
Do I need to know League of Legends to play?
No! 2XKO is a standalone fighting game. While it features League champions, no prior LoL knowledge is required.
Gameplay
How does the tag system work?
You can Hard Tag (full character swap), Soft Tag (quick switch during combos), or use Tag Burst (defensive escape). The tag button also calls assists when tapped.
What are Fuses?
Fuses are team modifiers you select before a match. There are 5 options: 2X Assist, Double Down, Freestyle, Juggernaut, and Sidekick - each changing how your team functions.
How does damage scaling work?
Damage scales down as combos get longer: 100% for hits 1-2, then 90%, 80%, 70%, 60%, 50%, down to 40% minimum after 16+ hits.
What is Wounded status?
When a character is low on health, they enter Wounded status which increases damage taken by 15%. This creates comeback potential.
Controls & Input
What controllers are supported?
All major input devices: gamepads (PlayStation, Xbox, etc.), arcade controllers, fight sticks, hit boxes, and keyboard.
What is Pulse Combo?
Pulse Combo is a beginner-friendly mode that helps auto-perform combos. Great for learning the game while building muscle memory.
Can I customize controls?
Yes, all controls are fully customizable in the game settings. You can rebind every action to your preference.
Competitive
How does ranked work?
Complete 3 placement matches to unlock ranked mode. Climb through tiers by winning matches and earning LP (League Points).
Can I play solo in 2v2?
Yes! You can control both characters yourself, or team up with a friend online for true 2v2 action.
Is there crossplay?
Crossplay between PC and console is planned for when console versions launch.

What are the PC requirements?
Minimum: Windows 10, Intel i5-4460 / AMD Ryzen 3 1200, 8GB RAM, GTX 960 / RX 560. Recommended specs are higher for 60fps gameplay.
Does the game have rollback netcode?
Yes, 2XKO features rollback netcode for smooth online play, minimizing the impact of network latency.
